FOUNDER STORYI started Little House of Chic in late 2016 as a hobby while working in advertising sales. Each day I stepped into the office, I felt unfulfilled and unhappy. I've always been creative and had several outlets in high school and college to express this side, but after school, all of those hobbies went away. I knew I wanted to start my own business eventually, but I wasn't sure what that "something" would be.I decided to take a leap of faith, not sure what I was signing myself up for, and signed up for a blogger account. The beginning of my blog was a frustrating time, primarily because of the learning curve I had using a DSLR camera. I watched hours of YouTube tutorials, started interning at a local photography studio for no pay and practiced taking pictures daily.I went into creating Little House of Chic without any expectations, but just to have fun and as a platform to be creative. I quickly realized I was spending all of my hours outside of work on my blog. Blogging never felt like a "job" to me, but more an outlet I looked forward to on nights and weekends. Working on my blog kept me inspired and motivated. After several months of debating whether or not to take the leap of becoming a full-time blogger, I decided it was time this year in 2018. With the help of my amazing husband, Garrett, and the encouragement of my family and friends, I decided to start working on Little House of Chic full-time. It has been a scary and rewarding experience that I wouldn't trade for the world.Since moving to working on my blog full-time, I've decided to add more travel articles, begin blogging about fashion, and have added DIY Fridays.Thank you all for your continuous support and love.
