Ghostess with the Mostess - How to Throw an Elegant Halloween Dinner Party

This Halloween season, I thought it would be fun to share some of my tips for making your sophisticated soirée extra moody. This black and white table is the stuff of dreams (or nightmares) and even if you don’t love Halloween, there’s no denying that this tablescape is spooky-chic.

Each place setting included a black dinner plate, black and white graphic salad plate, black modern flatware, and a black and white striped napkin

To amp up the creepiness, I added small fake black spiders to the dinner plates and miniature skulls to act as name card holders

Thinking of a centerpiece that could last for each Halloween, I used this wreath as a creative alternative to flowers.
